The Arnold Palmer Invitational is one of the most special weeks of the PGA TOUR, as most of you already know. And coming off another very impressive performance is Tiger Woods. Tiger will play for the 1st time since 2013, when he won. From 1997-2013, Tiger was a combined -121 in the Arnold Palmer Invitational which is 72 shots better than anyone else in that span (Vijay was -49). And to add to the Tiger drama is this tweet:
There is no doubt that Tiger is back as he’s made 3 out of 4 cuts this season with a second place and twelfth place finish. But this week is different. This week is all about honoring Arnold Palmer and his legacy. Which means you will see the best of the best teeing it up (see the full field here). With that said, do you think Tiger can get his second top 10 finish of the year?
We all know the course too! The Home of Arnie himself for so many years… iconic Bay Hill. It’s hard to believe but it been nearly 2 years since Arnold Palmer’s passing but the course remains the same and is still one of the toughest tests on the PGA TOUR.
But like I mentioned, this week is all about remembering Arnie. And I can’t wait to see how each player honors him on the course (I.E. Rickie Fowler)!
