If Kelly doesn't make it to a bowl game this year, you fire him. If he makes it to a bowl and wins then he is safe for one more year. The team has a lot of talent, but they are very young. Next year will be the year to watch Kelly IF this year doesn't turn into a complete disaster.

ND is a great job because of the tradition. When Charlie Weis was canned the AD said they realized that to compete at the very top they would have to become a great defensive team like the SEC. But Kelly's strong suit is offense. He was  a crony hire IMO. Why couldn't they land Urban Meyer, a Catholic and ND alum, isn't he? The TCU coach would have been better as well.

He should be fired because he stinks as a coach, bears responsibly for the death of a student photographer, manipulates school grade requirements to keep unqualified party boys on the roster and most of all because he has completely lost the support of 90% of the Notre Dame faithful.
