The month of March isn’t just about dressing in green clothes, drinking green beer while celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. For most sports fans, March is known for one thing above all others, March Madness! The madness begins in March and runs through the beginning of April. This is the time of year when collegiate basketball players from all around the country compete in the NCAA Division 1 basketball tournament in hopes of being crowned the next national champions.
March is also the month where Winter transitions to Spring and warmer temperatures, birds and flowers make a return after months of cold weather. March is the perfect month for golfers to dust off their golf clubs and get out on the course with the winter frosts melting and the grounds becoming fertile again. March 11th is time to spring forward with daylight savings, allowing golfers more daylight to get in more rounds of golf!
Having more time throughout the day, allows you to play 18 holes of golf and still have time to hang out on the courses patio and enjoy an ice cold beer with your buddies. Patio parties begin in March at Angel Park Golf Club. Nino’s Kitchen located in Angel Park Golf Club has patio parties that feature live music. While the rest of the world has March Madness on their mind, for golf fans, March means much more than collegiate basketball. The madness is surrounded by the fact that in one month the greatest PGA Tournament in history, The Masters, begins April 5th in Augusta, Georgia. The only green golf enthusiasts see are wooly, uncomfortable, but iconic, green jackets symbolizing one of the greatest accomplishments for the sport of golf.
