The stars were out on Monday at the Riviera Country Club, and the Tiger Woods team beat Fred Couples' team, 18.5-11.5 in the first edition of the Celebrity Cup of Genesis Open.

Each team consisted of six players, the teams of two meeting each other in a better ball format. Team Eldrick was made up of actor Mark Wahlberg, musician Kid Rock, singer Nick Jonas, professional football hall of fame member Jerry Rice, Arizona star Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald , and Paige Spiranac, GOLF contributor.

The Frederick team was composed of actors Chris Pratt, Luke Wilson and Oliver Hudson, Reggie Bush, former winner of the Heisman Trophy, as well as "The Bachelor" host Chris Harrison, and the talk show host. Carson Daly show.

And after, Captain Woods was there to celebrate. "What an amazing day at the #CelebrityCup inaugural ceremony hosted by @tgrliveevents," he wrote on Instagram. "Thanks to Fred Couples for having served as a team captain, to all the celebrities for their support of @tgrfound, and my winning team!"

Woods will play Thursday in the first round of the Genesis Open in a group of stars, alongside Justin Thomas and Rory McIlroy. Since taking up the role of host, Woods wears many hats all week. Genesis benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation. This is Woods' first appearance since a T20 at the Farmers Insurance Open in January.

"The game is good," Woods told GOLF.com on Monday. "I was rusty in Torrey after taking a few months off before this event. I improved every day. To play well Sunday, I thought that was how I had to play. Now, my schedule is to try to get ready for April. "
