Unfortunately Tour Insider is not at The Open this week either, it’s the third Major this year TI hasn’t attended, anyone with information on how to get on one of those junkets please email me, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Despite not being on the ground at Carnoustie, it’s pretty easy to tell that the conditions look firm and fast and maybe the weather won’t play a part this week but TI will not be having any money on that, after all, it is The Open Championship. The players to invest a few dollars in with Ladbrokes.com.au are…
It’s been a while since someone has one back-to-back majors but this guy can do it, mastered a frightening Shinnecock so surely Car-Nasty shouldn’t intimidate the big American. Plus let’s not forget he started his career on the European Tour, so unlike some of his countrymen, is used to playing links golf
This guy is a serious player and a major looks like it’s coming in his future. He would certainly be a crowd favourite this week
TI tipped him at the U.S. Open and his form over the last six months has been too good to leave him out of my picks…BTW did you know he is an Olympic gold medalist? If you didn’t know just ask him.
Without the wayward driver in his hand this week he could find himself on the course, and on course for another Major title. Survived a practice round with TI’s main man Lucas Herbert today, what an experience for both men!
Another quality player who knows how to win this event, the 2016 Champion of Golfers definitely one to keep an eye on
Of the Australasian boys, I think Adam Scott ($101) with Fanny Sunesson (former caddie of Nick Faldo) on the bag and Cam Smith ($201) who performed solidly last week in Scotland are the ones to watch, I also get a sense that the course sets up well for Aussie young gun Cameron Davis ($301)
TI also thinks Tyrell Hatton ($41) could be worth spending a few dollars on as he has a good record on the links.
Best of luck to the field!
