On a chilly and blustery day in Florida, Tiger Woods delivered a highlight-reel approach early in his first round at the Valspar Championship. After hitting an iron off the tee at the par-4 seventh hole, Woods left himself a 146-yard shot to the pin – and he went straight at the flag.
Woods tragically missed the birdie putt and tapped in for par to remain at even for the tournament. Woods is chasing Canadian Corey Conners, who took the clubhouse lead with a 4-under par round of 67.
